Renewed Hope

Yesterday you meet with Dr R.C. to discuss our next step in building a family . I was nervous , Brian was excited . We are gearing up to have IVF in either March or April ! Depending on when I get my period and when some general testing can be done .

Once I get my period I have to go in from a 3 day lab & ultra sound , ( reminder The first day of your period is cycle day one ) .

Then I have to go between day 7 to 10 to have a hysterosalpingogram /hyesterosonogram I’ve had one done already last March when we were still with the other clinic , but Dr. R.C is suggesting I get another since its been about a year . What’s involved ? It’s when the doctor uses saline solution guided by an internal ultra sound to look at your lady parts  to make sure everything looks goods . All I gotta do a take some Advil 1 hour before hand .

Dr R.C wants to take a better look at the polyp on my cervix too , she says sometimes with the meds to can make the polyp grow. Causing a blockage  to the uterus . Of course we don’t want this to happen during the egg retrieval or implanting stage. So she might have to take me to surgery to have it removed . Time will tell

Once all the above is done , and everything looks good , I will start taking birth control . Usually you start with Cycle day 1 , but she’s going to put me on a pill that I start during the luteal phase( after ovulation) of my cycle around day 14 . She says we should see better results with this

Brian and I are so thankful that we changed doctors  . Dr R.C. is wonderful , she gave me a huge , offered support  with the failed IUI , she says we have about a 50 to 60% chance of  the IVF working .

Were Ready !!!!!
